Shalom. I'm Mark Silverberg, Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Northeastern Pennsylvania . The mission of the Jewish Federation of Northeastern Pennsylvania is to rescue the imperiled, to care for the vulnerable, to support Israel, and to revitalize and perpetuate the Jewish communities of Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike and Wayne Counties.
Our purpose in sponsoring the unified Jewish Federation Website is rooted in the conviction that far more can be achieved by working together than separately; that Jews have far more elements and areas of agreement than disagreement; and that within the areas of their agreement, they can address themselves most effectively to the most important Jewish purposes and needs.

We are seeking to fulfill the precept of the Psalmist: "Behold how good and beautiful it is for brethren to dwell together in unity."
