Cantor Karen Webber Gilat graduated from Trinity College in 1984 with a dual degree in English and Theatre/Dance. She was awarded a Masters in Sacred Music from the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion in NYC in 1990 and has utilized her musical gift in concerts around the country mixing traditional Jewish melodies with modern Israeli songs. The thread that weaves all of them together is Gilat's love of Judaism and Israel expressed through prayer, art, performance and especially music. She is married with two children, Zeev and Ivy.
